My two favorite men!

Ok, this will confirm that I am not all there. We buy our one cat a costume every year! His name is Merlin, he is black and we adopted him through a rescue group Halloween of 2005. This is a pic of my hubby and Merlin all decked out! We tried to get the costume on Bella, but she wanted no parts of it!

Halloween Treat Box

Woohoo! My second favorite holiday is almost here. I know... you think I am nuts! Honestly though, I LOVE Halloween. So much that my hubby and I went to Salem last year this time. It was spooooooky! Tonight I made homemade pumpkin bread, homemade pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and we carved pumpkins! I made mine a cat face, go figure..lol! I am posting a pic of a coaster box that I made for my family and work. I stuffed it with candy and it was good to go! The tissue paper was stamped, I couldn't find orange so I settled on white and jazzed it up myself.

Oh, I borrowed the binding machine from work. When I saw it is in the sales dept. I just had to take it home for the weekend!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Halloween, I will try and get a pic of my pumpkin tomorrow night amongst all of the festivities!

BOO!

Bella Anniversary

I am up super early this morning, and on my day off! So I decided to get a jump on things. I made this card for a friend of mine for her anniversary. I am really liking working with black cards! I added some CTMH Liquid Glass to the bottle and the little wine glasses and stickles to make her necklace sparkle a bit. I also used my Fiskars scallop edge punch again. I am so glad that I blew the dust off of that!

Eeek!! lol... How could you be afraid of this little bugz?

I made this card for my niece for Halloween. It is one of the stamps from C.C. Designs over at All That Scraps. I can't get enough of these stamps!

I colored her in with my prismas and gamsol and inked the background with SU! Old Olive. My inspiration for this card was from SC#143.

Believe

Well, I think the weather is finally turning AGAIN! It is supposed to be rainy today and then feel more like fall. I certainly hope so!

This is Christmas Card #3. I just got this Happy Hopper stamp in from http://www.hmstamps.com/ . I just love these cuties!

After I was done coloring I thought it had more of a victorian feel than cutesy. Which is why I chose pink and green. I colored them in with my prismas/gamsol. One of these days I am going to try markers, I swear! I sponged light blue ink on the background to soften it a bit. I also used my Fiskars scallop edge punch on the CS. I bought this a LONG time ago and have just started using it!

Happy Anniversary

I made this card for a friend at work who's anniversary is coming up. I struggled terribly with the black card, but I was determined to make it work! After several bad attempts at using an embossing powder for the swirls I decided to use White Stazon instead. The camera didnt' pick it up, but there are icicle stickles on the petals of the flower and it was raised with dimensionals.

I hope that her and her hubby like it!

Happy Halloween

I was making a Halloween card and looked up at my Happy Hopper stamps and saw little Jack-o-Lantern's on their stomachs! So I took this very spring stamp and turned it into a Halloween one! Instead of bees they are pumpkins. I colored the flower black and hand drew a little spider to add some creepiness! I then hand drew the pumpkin faces.

I had so much fun making this card!

I hope everyone enjoys!

Stylish Birthday!

I made this card for my friend at work who's birthday is this Saturday. She loves the Bellas! I thought that even though this stamp is not birthday themed it went great with the sentiment.

I always have so much fun coloring in these stamps which I did with my prismas and gamsol.
I almost feel like I am a little girl again playing with Barbies! lol... I triple matted the image and cut the large prima flower in half to surround the saying which was cut by my Marvy Scallop Oval Punch. I used my Cuttlebug on the strip of paper behind everything it just didn't show much after I was done!

I hope everyone is having a nice fall night. Cooler weather has finally arrived!

What a Wonderful World

Hi everyone!

This is a card I created using the SCS tutorial Reflection Technique, here is the link http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/reflection.php

I was so afraid to try this one! Guess what, it wasn't so bad! I am trying to figure out other stamps I could use for this now.

I colored everything in with my prismas and gamsol, double matted it and added brads to the photo corners. I just got this SU punch in and I am in LOVE! I used my CM Oval Cutter for the sentiment.

Paper: cs CTMH, pp by MME Everyday Tango

Ink: SU Chocolate Chip

Stamps: Winter Woods by Rubber Stampede and CTMH, Because of You

Embellishments; Ribbon, twine and brads

I hope everyone enjoys the card, have a great night!

Christmas Card #2

Here is the second in my series of Christmas cards! This time I went with a folk art flair. I used my prismas without gamsol to color the image. It was a much richer color, which is what I was after. I distressed the edges of the image and the mustard piece, just to try and make it look older. I also sponged the image and the sentiment to give it an aged feel.

I hope that everyone likes it!

Happy World Card Making Day!

I went to my sister's house and helped my 3 yr old niece, Gianna and my 5 yr old niece, Dana make some Christmas cards! The girls had so much fun picking out what papers they wanted to use and glueing everything down! The oldest made 6 cards and the younger one made 2 and then got a little bored! I think they both did an excellent job! Dana had a ball with my paper punches. It took a little muscle on her part, but she managed to master it by the end of the afternoon!

I hope everyone is have a great weekend!

Teddy Bear Moon

I made this card for my friend that recently had a baby. Unfortunately, I didn't send it promptly! Sorry again E! Believe it or not, I didn't have any baby stamps! I have been borrowing another friend's stamps and then when I saw this is Joann's last week, I thought it was perfect! I stickled the brim of the moon's hat and the stars on the blanket are done with my Glaze Pens. The image was colored in with my prismas and the stars on the CS are from the SU set Haunting Halloween, I just thought that they went great with the card.

Thinking of You

I don't like to make Sympathy cards. Actually I haven't made ANY. To me, card making is my therapy for the "yuck" in my life, so I always make Happy cards. A co-worker just lost her uncle to bone cancer and a store bought card just wouldn't do it. This is what I made for her.

Stamps: SU True Friend, CTMH All Occasions

Simple Things

This is probably the simplest card I have ever made! I originally colored an image to put on top of this paper, but when I matted and inked it I thought it was pretty just on it's own. I just added some gold ribbon and a sentiment that was embossed and left it alone.

Stamp: SU Simply Sent Kit-Simple Delights

Ink: SU Creamy Caramel and Riverock (sponged on edges)

Embossing Powder by Stampendous, Pirate's Gold

Paper: CTMH Colonial White, Bazzill for Blue CS and pp was from a stack by K& Co.

Ribbon: Making Memories

I hope everyone is having a nice evening!
