Card Patterns Sketch #66 - Happy Anniversary

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

My hubby is in the backyard organizing the shed, so I took this opportunity to make a card for our anniversary coming up on June 22nd!

I used the Card Patterns Sketch #66 and an image from Di's Digi Downloads called First Day Out. I thought is was perfect for my card!

I stamped the saying "You Hold the Key to my Heart" on the inside of the card to go with the little key on the front. The flourish in the corner is also from that set.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek, I appreciate it!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 51- LET'S GO FLYERS!!!

I live in a Philly Suburb, so of course, I am sporting orange today, as is everyone I have seen so far this morning in my area. Why do you ask?? In honor of the first game of the Flyers in their quest for the CUP!!! I am heading to my uncle's house today for a dual purpose party, Memorial Day and the Flyers! They are die hard, and I mean DIE HARD fans. I just had to make a card to bring over with me. I hope that they get a kick out of it!

I used the image Hockey Beary by Prairie Fairy Designs. I also used Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #51.

I made the little pennant out of plain 'ole white cardstock, using a font in Microsoft Word. Then inked it up a bit and glued it to a toothpick. I hand drew the little puck on the image as well.

I hope that everyone has fun today, in whatever you may be doing!

Thanks for taking a peek and LET'S GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #47

Happy Friday!

I hope that everyone is gearing up for a fun Memorial Day weekend! (for those of us in the states)

I made this card for the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #47. Melissa thanks for another great one!

I used an image from Meljen's Designs called a Girl and Her Kitty. I ran the background thru my Big Shot using the Texture Plate Dot Daisies and then sponged it with SU! So Saffron to make the dots pop out a bit. Again, I don't think it came up in the photo that well.

I colored her with my copics and then did a little background color with my Prisma pencil.

I'm off to start some errands (hubby is buying me my birthday present today) Woohoo! It's a bit early but he wants me to have time to play with it this weekend. I think I'll keep him ;)

Thanks for swinging by!

Michelle

Stamp: Meljen's Designs

Paper: Basic Grey; Max and Whiskers, SU! So Saffron and Chocolate Chip

Embellies: Prima flowers, buttons and ribbon from my stash

Embrace Happiness- Mo's Digital Challenge #32

You had to create a card that portrayed any type of love. I chose the image Buds.. This has to be one of the sweetest images I have ever seen! It reminds me so much of my sister's dog Buddy!

I used an older sketch by The Sweet Stop SSS53. Korin really has some outstanding sketches on her challenge blog!

I colored the image in with my Copics and then used my Prisma Pencils for the shadowing underneath the dog. Note to self... see what the color looks like BEFORE you add it directly to the image! I am really disappointed with how that looks and have tried really hard to correct it, to no avail :(

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Sunday! The weather is not great here, but that means more stamping time!

Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog!

Michelle

Stamps: Mo's Digital Pencil; Buds and Papertrey Ink; Mixed Messages

Paper: CTMH ; Key to My Heart (thanks E for reminding me that I have that!)

Celebrate - A double challenge!

Happy Friday everyone!

Hope that everyone is getting ready for a good weekend! The weather is as promised here... sunny and warm! I also lucked out on the yard work for today too ;) My hubby finished right before I returned home from my sister's house.. hehe

My uncle's birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I always struggle with masculine cards. So when I saw the new release from Meljen's Designs called A Dog's Day and the Challenge #8 Seeing Spots. I felt inspired by the image called Chili Chihuahua! He loves Mexican food and Sangria.. How perfect!

I also combined it with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #50.

I printed out a few copies of the image and then hand cut peppers for the side and a set to raise on the image itself. Not sure if it showed that well in the pic, as usual :(

I hope that you all have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hello Friend - Tuesday Morning Sketch #46

Hi everyone!

I hope that everyone had a great week so far! The weather is beautiful today and it should be just as great for the weekend. Woohoo! I hope that all of your local forecasts are just as nice!

This is a card that I made for the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #46. No sketch this week, you were to use your Favorite Color Combo and Glitter. I have several color combos that I love, but I tend to always lean towards Su! Rose Red and the R85 Copic Marker combo, so I chose that for the challenge.

This card is made using the SCS Sketch #SC281 and the image is from a new digi stamp site that I fell in love with called Pollycraft. She is from the Felicity and Friends line and is called

Felicity - Home Girl. Isn't she adorable?

Ok, so now I am sure you are asking yourself, where's the glitter? It didn't come up in the photo! I used My Mind's Eye Glitter Book paper and her headband, pockets and green stripe on her jeans are colored with the Copic Spica Pens in the coordinating color. Trust me it's there! ;)

Thanks as always for taking a peek, I appreciate it!

Michelle

Stamps: Pollycraft; Felicity Home Girl and MFT; Simply Said

Thinking of You

I just wanted to post this quickly before I headed off to work this morning...

This is the card that I made for my Featured Stamper spot on Tuesday Morning Sketches which will be on Melissa's blog today along with the actual sketch for this card.

Thanks so much to Melissa and her DT for selecting my card, I am honored!!!

This is another digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil, it is called End of Summer.

I colored her with my copics and then shadowed the background with my Prisma pencils and OMS.

The button wrapping on the side was done after I watched a tutorial by Michele Boyer at Paper Cuts found here. I also distressed the edges of the dp to give it a "country" feel.

I hope that you all have a great day!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Card Patterns Sketch #62

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. The Communion was beautiful yesterday and my niece and whole family had a wonderful time celebrating!

I managed to squeeze in some time to participate in yet another blog challenge. I can't help myself!

This one is from the Card Patterns Weekly Sketch Blog and is Sketch #62.

This is my first circular card! I have to say, it was fun!!! The two brads on the edge are to hold the card together, I really didn't know how else to do that, if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them!

I cut the scallaped circles out with my new Cricut cartridge Forvever Young, this cartridge rocks! There are so many possibilities!

I also used a new stamp line that I have been dying to get my hands on! It is a Gorjuss Girl/Sugar Nellie stamp bought from Funky Kits in the UK.

Thanks for taking a peek, your comments make my day!
