BIG Wishes for a Happy New Year!

I am not really a big fan of New Year's Eve night, I am too afraid to be on the road . My husband and I going to meet my parents for an early dinner then watch the ball drop at home as we do every year. I made this card to give to them today. I was really proud of it and showed the original card to my husband last night, he said who's birthday is it? DOH! If any of you out there know Stampingbella, you know that Partygirlabella is holding a cupcake! So, back to the drawing board. I decided to draw a bottle of champagne, I don't know the brand, but you know the one. You see it on tv and movies all of the time with the pretty flowers (not a champagne drinker here) So, after several attempts I get a decent shaped bottle, I color it and cut it out, and WOW! That's an awfully BIG bottle of champagne, I laughed so hard, I decided to leave it.

I thought it would give some of you a chuckle!

For all of those venturing out tonight, please be safe.

Ahoy Matey!

Good Morning everyone!

I am feeling so much better and am back at it! I wanted to make another card using a Sweet N Sassy stamp set, which you can find here.

I thought making a card that resembled a treasure map would be perfect for the Pirate's Life set.

First, I cut my CS to measure 8 1/4 x 12 and then scored it at 3 13/16 and 8 1/8. I then wrapped a piece of map pp around it and cut the front flap a little short in able to distress the edge.

All of the images were colored in with my Copics, then I stippled the white CS with Chalk Ink and distressed the edges to antique it.

I hope that everyone has great Sunday!

A gift from my hubby...

Hi Everyone!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got to spend some quality time with their families!

I can't believe it has been a week since I posted anything. I was so busy the couple of days before Christmas and right through and then I came down with the flu right after! UGH! Today is the first day that I am moving again. I am determined to get my mojo flowing and make a card using a Sweet N Sassy set. In the meantime while I wait for the advil to kick in, I am posting one of the gifts from my husband. It is from Making Memories, the jars are sold separately and they are light weight plastic. I couldn't believe that he bought this for me! I was so surprised! It is such a perfect gift for me! So far I put all of my stickles in it and my SU! ribbon along with some Prima flower jars.

I hope that everyone is having a great Saturday!

Please check back later, I should have a card up.

Deer Gift Tin for "My Dear"

I am down to the wire now. I only have one more thing to make, a combined birthday card for my sister and her husband. The whole family is going to a dinner party tomorrow for it. So I MUST get it done!

Here is the other item that was a "must make" before Christmas. A tin gift card holder for the Cabela's Gift Card that I bought for my husband. This is a tin that I picked up at the register at Michael's for $1. I sanded the whole tin to make everything stick better and used my Cheetah runner by Xyron for the paper. The sides of the top were painted to cover the bright pattern of the tin.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and that you are not stressing too much!

Let's Go Skating!

Ok, I made this tin at my Papercrafting event this past Saturday. I purchased it from Papertrey Ink. It still needed something, and today I got the update for Papercuts by Michele Boyer so I added the scallop circle and ribbon on the lid, similar to how she added her's on the cylinder itself.

This was made to bring to my sister's house on Christmas day just for a little something to add to her buffett. It is filled with Hershey's Kisses. It was colored in with my Copics and I used my SU! Corner Rounder Punch and White Gel Pen for accent. Some Liquid Applique was used on the earmuffs and pom-pom on the hat.

Have a great night everyone, I am off to make some more gifts!

Merry Christmas Darling...

By the Carpenters is one of my favorite Christmas songs. It just always gives me goosebumps!

Another thing that gives me goosebumps when I think about it, is the love between my husband and I.

I made this Christmas card for him. I was undecided for awhile and thought that the Hanna stamp with the mistletoe was perfect!

All of the paper is by the Hollylane collection by SEI, and she was colored with my copics. The tag is also by SEI, but I stamped it with the SU! set Short and Sweet.

I hope that everyone is having a great night!

M

I've been tagged x2!

Another Lulu Card

Only 9 more days to Christmas, can you believe it? I can't!

I am almost done everything, I just need another 3 days to wrap and finish some hand-made gifts and I should be in good shape!

I made this card for my niece Dana, it had to be similar to the other Lulu card (posted earlier) because her little sister Gianna wants everything like her big sister! My sister said when she opened her card the first words out of her mouth were, "oh look, it is just like Dana's!" Whew, score one for Aunt Shell! :)

I hope that everyone in blog land is finishing up their projects so that they may enjoy the holidays!

Lucky's Wish

Oh! I am soooo in love with the Lucky and Lulu line by C.C. Designs. As everyone knows, animals are my down fall! I just LOVE 'EM! I made this card for my 2 yr. old nephew, Cole.

I think that he will get a kick out of the little guy!

I used the masking technique for the background and cut Lucky out and raised him on pop-dots to make him stand out. Two of the trees were paper-pieced and the middle one was done with my Copics. I am still testing and playing with them, but I can tell you this ,I love them! The background was edged and stippled with the Chalk Ink in Wheat just to tone down the white a bit.

I hope everyone is having a good night!

Who wants some candy?

Happy Saturday everyone!

I thought that for today I would give away some blog candy. Up for grabs is three rolls of christmas ribbon, two adorable Christmas stamps from Michael's, a set of scalloped edged cards from DCVW, some bling and a set of clear stamps by Rhonna Farrer for Autumn Leaves.

All you have to do is tell me your favorite Christmas memory as a child. I think it would be great for everyone to read and get into the Christmas spirit if you are not there already!

I will pick a random winner on Monday 12/10 6PM Eastern time.

Good luck everyone!

Sweet Delights

When I first saw this stamp set, I knew I had to have it immediately! Being a cat lover and Christmas being my favorite holiday I couldn't wait to use it! I made this card for one of my nieces. I had so much fun creating a card with it. This is my first attempt at blending with my Copics. I still need some practice, but I love these markers! I used Beate John's WSC28 and added two more circles.

Thanks for looking and have a great night!

Just hanging around

I hope that everyone is having a good Monday night. We in SE PA are hoping that the roofs don't get ripped off of our houses! The wind is up to 50 mph! Brrr...

I bought two of the Elzybells stamps a while ago and am just now getting them inked. They are soooo cute! I will have to add more to my collection.

For this card I used the MFTSC03 from SCS. I am so sorry that it is not an MFT stamp! I don't have their Christmas one. I colored her in with my prismas and SU! markers.

Snowman Card and Nugget Box

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope that the weather in your neck of the woods is better than it is in mine! Yucky sleet!

After my hubby and I went Christmas shopping this morning I came home and made the Nugget box and matching card for a woman that owns a local gift shop in my area. She was gracious and overly generous to give my hubby and I the Byer's Choice Caroler Boy w/ Goose for Christmas this year! We just started collecting the Christmas Carol set this year and she helped us in completing it!

I used the template from SCS found here I used Reply #138 for 3x9. I also used a card sketch which I believe is from Lauren Meader. If it is not, I apologize to the creator, I printed out a bunch yesterday and didn't mark them. Shame on me!

This was colored in with my new Copic Markers, I still need some practice, but I LOVE them! I am hoping that Santa will bring me some more!

Snow Friends

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend so far! This is one of the cards that I did in my spot as Featured Designer for December over at Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps!

Who doesn't love snowmen? This little pair melts your heart! I have a feeling my friends and family are going to get a lot of snowmen Christmas cards this year!
I used SC#151 as the LO. I added one more layer though. I paper pieced the hat and scarf and added some sparkles to the heart. I don't know if the camera picked it up all that well. I scalloped the edge of the paper with my SU! corner rounder punch and then used Liquid Applique to make the hat, earmuffs and snow all fluffy!

August Bella Calendar Page

YEAH! I am finally done! I must say I was a bit confused and frustrated in the beginning of this project, but I am so HAPPY that I did it! I absolutely cannot wait to see what the finished project is going to look like. I appreciate all of the hard work Tangii has put into this swap and all of the other Bella's hard work creating their months!

I knew for August I had to do Kinibella because that is the month that my family has always taken our beach vacation. The wave is from a template that I hand drew and she was colored in with my SU! Markers and Prisma pencils.

I hope that everyone likes it!

Happy Friday!

Howdy!

I just can't seem to get enough of these bella stamps! I don't know why I had to have this one. I do nothing with horses, have only been on ONE in my whole life when I was with the Girl Scouts, but I had to have it! Maybe I was a cowgirl in a previous life, or I just love animals so much! Whatever the reason I am glad that I bought it. I really enjoyed coloring this one. This is actually a Thank You card for another bella that is hosting a swap that I am in. I think it's ok to use a cowgirl for a Thank You? My husband wanted to know what a horse had to do with thanking. I couldn't give him an answer.I was just dying to use this stamp!

Stylin' Birthday

I can't believe my one niece is going to be 6 on Monday the 3rd! I was part of my sister's" labor team" which was her husband, myself and the many doctors and nurses of Jefferson Hospital in Phila. I am her Godmother and also her special aunt, as I am her only Aunt! lol... She has grown from the little baby I was afraid to hold, to an adorable toddler that made me smile all the time, to my little girlfriend. We talk on the phone, we laugh and watch movies together and she has become my little papercrafting buddy! She is now into Hanna Montana, High School Musical and the Cheetah Girls. I am amazed Dana, it seems like yesterday that you were born and now you are becoming quite the little lady. I love you very much Dana and am so proud to be your Aunt and Godmother, not to mention your Friend.

I Wish I Were a...

PRINCESS! Wouldn't that be great? Beautiful gowns, jewels... Ahhh, just imagine..

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the major lag in posting, but things have been a wee bit busy around here. I hope that everyone in the states had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Remember I said in an earlier post that I had good news to share? Well, I am now a member of the Design Team for Sweet N Sassy Stamps! Korin the queen bee behind the new company asked me to be the Featured Designer for December!! How exciting is that? I am so flattered! Please check in to the website to see all of the new goings on there! I have a few things up my sleeve with some of her wonderful and adorable stamp sets!

You can just click here http://sweetnsassystamps.com/

I made this card using the Princess set. One thing that I love about it? Besides the fact that it comes with it own dragon? (friendly of course!) You can interchange what you would like the princess to be holding. I chose the star, so she can just wave it and POOF... my Christmas shopping is done!

I hope that everyone is having a great evening!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

This is the last night that I will have to post until after this weekend. I just wanted to wish all of you a very wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope that everyone has a great time with their families. Even though I am a wee bit stressed out, I keep on telling myself that even if the turkey isn't perfect, the time spent with my family will be. I will be cooking for 15 so things will be a bit crazy around here the next couple of days. I want to tell my MOM, thank you.... She always spends the night of Thanksgiving Eve and we have a great time together cooking, listening to Christmas carols and have a little pre-Christmas cheer! I can't wait MOM!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody.. I am thankful that you take the time to view my blog.. it really means a lot to me.

This card is for you....

I have to say, it is really hard to find boy stamps! One of the solutions to this problem is http://sweetnsassystamps.com/. In the next coming days I will have my hands on an adorable pirate set, suitable for boys of all ages! Until then, here is what I have created for him...

Well, I am home from another fun crop. While there I made this card which is for a swap that I am in for the House Mouse Yahoo Group. I had so much fun making these cards! These little guys look so warm and snuggly. Kinda how we wished we felt at the crop today. Something was seriously wrong with the heat! Sorry girls! We laughed about it and said we would come to the December crop dressed in parkas!

I have some good news to share at a later date. So please stay tuned......

I did get to use my new Nestabilities on this card, they are really cool! I am asking Santa for more of them!

I can't believe that 1 week from today it will be Thanksgiving! I know I have said it before, but it came up too quick this year. I have a full house every turkey day and cook for two days in preparation for it. I am trying to squeeze my card making into the running around! I made this card for my 2 year old nephew. I think that he will get a kick out of the turkey! This will really be the first year that he will kinda know what is going on.

I hope everyone is having a great night!

Birthday Wishes

This image just cracks me up! I wish I could stuff my face with a nice birthday cake right about now. (I just joined WW) I guess coloring it will have to do!

I made this card for my niece's birthday (on my hubby's side). Her favorite color is purple so of course I had to make the card that color! The image is from the Happy Hoppers collection of HM. It is called It's My Party. She was colored in with my prismas and gamsol.
I am going to attach a gift card onto the paper with the tab. I hope that she likes it and has a great birthday. They are not near us so we will not be seeing her.

Teddy Bear Pilgrims

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? I have so much to do and I am trying not to slip into panic mode (just yet). I have my whole family over which is about 16 people! I have to start off small by making some cards for my two nieces and one nephew! I wish I could tell you whose stamps these are, but I don't have a clue! I found these about two weeks ago tucked away in a spare bedroom closet. I have had these since I first started stamping and have since forgot about them. I was so glad to find them, because they are perfect for children. The other two cards that I am making are from the same group. I used the Splitcoast Challenge #126 for this card.

Anyway, I hope that everyone is having a nice Sunday and that you are not too stressed out with the impending arrival of the holidays.

June's Puppybella

I don't know what the weather is like wherever you are, but here in SEPA it is the perfect day for stamping! Brisk, cloudy and showers. My hubby is out, I have my IPOD plugged in and I have managed to get another month done for the Bella Calendar Swap. Whew! This is one of the newer stamps called Puppybella. I just love that little doggie! I just HAD to make sure that she matched her owner. How fun!

I colored Bella in with both prisma pencils and my SU! markers that I just received. I am seriously liking them! I used the blender pen on her dress, I do need a little more practice with that. Have to try again on Kinibella which is what I am going to start on now for August.

I hope that eveyone is having fun today!

Thanks for looking!

Welcome Baby

I hope that everyone had a nice Monday! I am thankful that my Monday at work is over, until next week that is! (I am not a huge fan of Mondays) Before zoning out and watching Dancing With the Stars, I thought I would jump on and post a pic of a card that I just made for a very good friend that just had a baby. As I said in a previous post, I don't have any baby stamps. I bought this set by CTMH called Nursery Bash from my friend Elisabeth, thanks E! It really is for early birthdays, but I thought that the giraffe would like cute on a baby card. I colored him in with my SU! Watercolor Wonder Crayons and my aquabrush. This card is also done with the Splitcoast SC#145.

I hope everyone has a nice evening.

Caught up in the Spirit!

Alright, I know that Halloween was just on Wednesday and Thanksgiving is less than 3 weeks away, but out shopping today with my husband, I got in the Christmas Spirit! What the heck?!

I even said to him in Joann's, let's skip decorating the house for Thanksgiving and just go for the Christmas decorations! Where did this come from? Is it that the stores already have their shelves loaded with Christmas items? Was it the Christmas stamps that I bought in A.C. Moore?

Or the Christmas music that I actually heard playing in the toy dept. of Walmart? Whatever it was, I am going to embrace it. To me, Christmas is a magical time of year. Where everyone seems nicer, happier. Where there are smiles on every one's faces. So, this year I for one, am going to get into the spirit just a wee bit early. Who knows maybe it will be contagious. Couldn't we use a little more happiness in this world?

I CASED this card from a card in a swap that I was in that was hosted by my friend Kim. We had to use our favorite finds at the CKC. I loved Colleen's card and just had to case it. Thanks Colleen, your card was awesome!

Blooming with Happiness!

Happy Friday everyone!

I have been so busy that I haven't even had a chance to make a card let alone post it!

I made this card for a friend's anniversary. It was simple, but I loved the end result.

This was from SCS's Card Sketch Challenge # 134, the Topper Card.

My two favorite men!

Ok, this will confirm that I am not all there. We buy our one cat a costume every year! His name is Merlin, he is black and we adopted him through a rescue group Halloween of 2005. This is a pic of my hubby and Merlin all decked out! We tried to get the costume on Bella, but she wanted no parts of it!

Halloween Treat Box

Woohoo! My second favorite holiday is almost here. I know... you think I am nuts! Honestly though, I LOVE Halloween. So much that my hubby and I went to Salem last year this time. It was spooooooky! Tonight I made homemade pumpkin bread, homemade pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and we carved pumpkins! I made mine a cat face, go figure..lol! I am posting a pic of a coaster box that I made for my family and work. I stuffed it with candy and it was good to go! The tissue paper was stamped, I couldn't find orange so I settled on white and jazzed it up myself.

Oh, I borrowed the binding machine from work. When I saw it is in the sales dept. I just had to take it home for the weekend!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Halloween, I will try and get a pic of my pumpkin tomorrow night amongst all of the festivities!

BOO!

Let It Snow

Christmas is less than two months away. Can you believe it? Here is the 4th set of cards. I kept this one simple. Now that it is complete I am on the fence about it. I added the little red bird from the Papertrey set Believe. I thought Frosty needed some company!

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Bella Anniversary

I am up super early this morning, and on my day off! So I decided to get a jump on things. I made this card for a friend of mine for her anniversary. I am really liking working with black cards! I added some CTMH Liquid Glass to the bottle and the little wine glasses and stickles to make her necklace sparkle a bit. I also used my Fiskars scallop edge punch again. I am so glad that I blew the dust off of that!

Witching You

Eeek!! lol... How could you be afraid of this little bugz?

I made this card for my niece for Halloween. It is one of the stamps from C.C. Designs over at All That Scraps. I can't get enough of these stamps!

I colored her in with my prismas and gamsol and inked the background with SU! Old Olive. My inspiration for this card was from SC#143.

I hope that everyone enjoys it, especially my niece!

Believe

Well, I think the weather is finally turning AGAIN! It is supposed to be rainy today and then feel more like fall. I certainly hope so!

This is Christmas Card #3. I just got this Happy Hopper stamp in from http://www.hmstamps.com/ . I just love these cuties!

After I was done coloring I thought it had more of a victorian feel than cutesy. Which is why I chose pink and green. I colored them in with my prismas/gamsol. One of these days I am going to try markers, I swear! I sponged light blue ink on the background to soften it a bit. I also used my Fiskars scallop edge punch on the CS. I bought this a LONG time ago and have just started using it!

Stamps: Carrot Tree, House Mouse and Merry Little Christmas by Technique Tuesday

Ink: CTMH Heavenly Blue and SU! Old Olive

PP: CS is Bazzill and pp is Wild Asparagus

Embellishments: Misc Ribbon

Tools: Fiskars punch

I hope that everyone has a great Tuesday!
